GOOOH.COM

I have recently been introduced to the above named group that has developed a process by which candidates for each congressional district are selected by citizens in each district, through a number of face to face, ten person committees. Members in each district are divided into committees made up of multiple groups of ten, and each committee sends two candidates on to the next level of groups of ten, until such time as one member from each congressional district is selected. This affords all citizens the opportunity to participate in the candidate selection process.

This is a nationwide organization, has over 100,000 members already, and needs 500,000 before the process, by its' own design, can be successful. Tim Cox is the founder of the organization and is funding the entire process himself, until such time as the 500,000 number is reached, assuming that does occur. I personally believe the group will reach its membership goals, and has a very good chance of being successful in those districts across the country where the necessary support is organized.

The ultimate goal is to replace professional politicians with citizen representation, as our founders intended. For now, including all of 2010, this movement is confined only to representation of the 435 U. S. House of Representative seats. If successful, this movement has plans to move into state, local, as well as other Federal election processes.

I strongly suggest that everyone visit the web site GOOOH.com, pronounced GO, and standing for "Get out of our House" There is a series of questions online to review, answer, and give consideration, as the meetings consist of the groups of ten answering these questions, openly discussing the details, then entering into one on one interviews of each member of the group of ten with every other member.

The ultimate result is a vote from each group submitting two representatives of the group to the next level. I have participated twice, in the mock selection process, have learned much, and I am greatly encouraged by the sheer determination of the people I have met, most of whom want limited, representative government, accountable to the constituency, dedicated to responsible fiscal policy, and the freedoms we were endowed by our creator and guaranteed by our constitution!

Today, with four inches of snow and ice on the roads, we had about 30 patriots show up before 9 AM to a drafty hanger at the Gwinnett County airport, for .a mock selection process and pancake breakfast. Had the weather been normal for Georgia this time of year, we would have had 100 or more.

Please check out GOOOH.COM, and make plans to attend the next meet-up in your district. If no meet-up is currently scheduled in your congressional district, go to the meeting nearest you, find out what it is all about. We are living in some very scary times, but we also have an opportunity to change the course of history. I know my personal optimism has gone up exponentially since the MA Senatorial election, and that was made possible by grass roots Americans in organizations like Resistnet.com, the Tea Party movement, and countless other groups of Constitutionally dedicated citizens banding together to take back our country.

Tim Cox has designed a process that can be used to enable us to succeed in 2010 and beyond, not only with respect to our national political scene, but locally as well. We need good men and women ready to roll up their sleeves and get about the task of saving America from the progressives in our midst, in both parties, at all levels of government.
