Let the Party Begin, The Third Party

Sarah Palin may not be an Ivy League intellectual. She may not have the best grasp of the insider Washington issues, abroad or on the domestic scene. She is however, a patriotic American who not only listens to the people, she is one of the people. I saw this link on Facebook (http://www.sarahpac.com/news/news51.aspx)just a few minutes ago. I have been saying for months that we need someone to get behind the Tea Party movement. We need a leader who doesn't care what the mainstream media says. We need someone with major popular draw, who thinks independently, and someone who says and does what’s right.

If Sarah Palin does start a third party, I will get on board with my personal support, my financial support, my heart and soul. We need someone to lead us out of the wilderness, and while I certainly don't liken Sarah Palin to Moses, I will follow her wherever she leads. I know we will end up in a better place than Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are taking us; "to the poor house." I know it will be a better place than George Bush took us, "to the dog house." and I know we will be better off than the republicans leads us from here into a litany of well spoken non action, "empty house."

We will need candidates in every district, and every state, at the local, state, and federal levels. I understand we may not get the most sophisticated candidate from a political perspective. We may even make a few mistakes. What we will wind up with though is a government by the people, for the people and of the people, just as the founding fathers intended. We can rid ourselves of the ruling class arrogant career politicians once and for all. We can send your next door neighbor, your son's math teacher, the barber, whoever; is willing to serve for a single term, and treat government as it should be treated. We can handle this the same way we handle jury duty. Americans take their civic duty seriously. No one will pass legislation they don't read or that they can't understand. We can have laws decipherable by all who can read, and it will not take an attorney or the Supreme court by a 5-4 vote to determine the intent of the laws.

We are in some serious trouble in the United States right now. Sarah Palin is the most popular politician we've had in years, which is precisely why the left and the right has been terrified of her since the day John McCain nominated her for the Vice Presidency. She is one of us. People identify with her, and that is not something the politically elite can afford to have as an adversary. It isn't just the left attacking her. McCain's own staffers have worked her over in the press as bad, or worse than the far left. All of the intellectuals, the politicians, the mainstream media, and everyone who makes a living pulling the wool over the eyes of the country can ill afford someone like Sarah Palin in a position of power in the United States. She actually tells the truth, acts according to her beliefs, and makes decisions she believes are for the good of the people, not for whatever special interest is on top at any given time.

With Sarah leading a third party, both the democrats and the republicans could lose the support of everyone other than the radical left and right respectively. True, the tree huggers will remain democrats, as will the bible thumping, holier than thou far right remain with the republican party. The vast majority of Americans, who are somewhere in between, might actually hear the truth, and be treated with respect, as well as treated as though we actually have a little sense, rather than be told what we need, and what we can't do. Imagine not being punished for our sins via the tax paddle. What will it be like to have to earn our keep? How will we survive without the government to tell us what is safe, or to arrest us if we don't use out seat belts. Imagine allowing General Motors to fail without spending $50 Billion in taxpayer money to bail them out, and might the bond holders get to keep the money their contracts call for?. How will we survive if the government doesn't pay AIG $150 billion in bonus payments at the end of the year. How will the Earth survive if we don't put any additional tax on electricity, gasoline, and allow the coal industry to survive? If the coal miners keep their jobs, will the world go on?

Without Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to force Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to finance condos to those with no down payment and without a job, how will the developers survive? Might they have to sell their condos for less? What would we do if the government actually enforced the immigration laws? Would you be able to get someone to paint your house if there weren't 20 million illegal aliens doing menial labor? Would those on welfare now start doing the construction jobs if we didn't have the slave labor wages of the illegal’s? Somehow I think we would get by with Americans doing the landscaping, painting, carpentry, laying the carpet, pulling the cable as apprentices for licensed electricians. It seems to me I can remember quite a few Americans that used to do that type of work. The politicians have been telling us for years that Americans won't do it. But would they if contractors paid a decent wage? Would there exist a workforce of Americans learning a trade, if the 40% high school dropouts in our high schools could actually get a job somewhere besides McDonalds?

We need to get behind Sarah Palin. We need to fire the democrats and the republicans. There is no right and left any more with regards to the two political parties. We have a sliding scale of far left, left, and center left. The best and staunchest republican politicians, those who haven't actually spent like drunken sailors are in the center left section of that scale. They have only spent like sailors on leave after six months at sea who don't drink. The left spend like sailors who drink, get a little tipsy, then pass out before all their money is gone.

As for the democrats, drunken sailors just don't hold a candle in the spending department. These are as rich sons of royalty, who have never seen the inside of an empty wallet. Money doesn't just grow on trees, as it falls to the ground it multiplies in exponentially larger denominations as it lands in the blank slot of the printer. There is a never ending supply of money, and anything goes. No matter that excess spending got us into trouble, the way to get out is to spend more money and borrow what we can't print fast enough to keep up with the spending. Logic doesn't play into their way of thinking. After all, this is government, and money is never an issue. The only concern is what to spend it on and how fast it must be spent. Paying for it is something for future generations to consider.

While this may sound ludicrous, and it is, this is precisely what the democrats are about to do. They are talking up another stimulus now, after having only spent about 10% of the last one. Makes no sense to most people, but for those who actually read the 1400 page Recovery Act, the stimulative funding is pretty much already spent. What is left is the other $700 billion or so already earmarked for growing the government, and funding those special interests that democrats have been trying to fund for the last 25 years. The Reagan years, and the phenomenal prosperity got in the way of the reckless spending, and it has been building up to frenzy level in the hearts of these democrats, until February of 2009, when it all came rushing out under the guise of stimulating the economy. Of course it didn't work. It wasn't supposed to. They intended to come back to the till for the real stimulus all along. That’s why they rushed through the last one in the middle of the night without reading it. They had to get it out of the way, let it fail, then get back for another stimulus bill, all before the summer break.

The Democratic leadership knew then, and they know now, when the Congress goes home for summer break, their constituents will beat them over the head with their stupidity until their only real concern, "getting reelected" snaps them to attention. When they return in the fall, they will be very serious about saving the taxpayer's money. They will make you sick with their rhetoric. If we have a third party waiting for them, we can thumb our noses, ignore their dishonesty, and fire the lot, all at one time. We can defeat every last incumbent in 2010. We can and we must. Our very lives and liberty depend on it. Sarah Palin, for all her faults, is just human enough, cares just enough, and has enough widespread support to lead us out of the wilderness that has become 2009 America. Our country is at a crossroads. We have to make the right turn!.
